I got a call regarding an HP All in one Printer that would lose it's ability to print wirelessly. I had previously installed the latest HP software and it was working fine. What was happening is the printer would go to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity and once in sleep mode, the computer was unable to communicate with it wirelessly. It turned out that by default, the software creates a link (port) from the computer to the printer by using the serial number of the printer. After doing some research, I found that changing the port from serial number to the IP address had fixed the issue.
